This model is named after a pristine beach at the bottom tip of the Cape Point nature reserve in Cape Town, South Africa. 
 
Bartolomeu Diaz was the pioneer who discovered there was a route around the bottom of Africa. He set foot on the Eastern Coast of South Africa in 1488 first landing in Mossel Bay!
